The health care sector offers many of the best job opportunities for 2025, with high demand and competitive pay, according to a new ranking by job search site Indeed. Six health care roles rank among the top 25 jobs for 2025: veterinarian (No. 1), physician (No. 3), clinical psychologist (No. 8), radiologist (No. 14), registered nurse (No. 18), and director of clinical services (No. 22). This is the second consecutive year health care dominates the list.

Indeed’s analysis looked at jobs with a minimum salary of $75,000, 20% growth in job postings over three years, and at least 5% of remote or hybrid opportunities. Health care job growth has been rapid, with the U.S. economy adding 902,000 health care and social assistance jobs in 2024, more than any other sector. The demand for health care workers is driven by an aging population, worker retirements, and lower risk of AI replacement compared to other fields.

High-paying health care jobs, such as radiologists and physicians, offer strong salaries, though roles like radiology require extensive education. However, political changes under President-elect Trump could impact health care demand, especially with potential cuts to Medicaid or the expiration of Affordable Care Act subsidies.
