CosMc's, a new venture from McDonald's, has been unveiled. Intended to be a small-format, breakfast, and beverage-focused restaurant (inspired by the '80s and '90s extraterrestrial mascot of the same name), CosMc's grand opening will be in Bolingbrook, Illinois, in December. This opening is part of its limited test run, and additional locations are planned to open in 2024. The CosMc's menu features over ten new beverages never seen at a McDonald's, including energy-boosting options like Sour Cherry Energy Slush and S'mores Cold Brew. Alongside the drinks, McDonald's is debuting a variety of sweet and savory snacks and two new sandwiches. The menu greatly emphasizes bold flavors, vibrant colors, and functional boosts. Even though some McDonald's classics are included, there are no combo meals.

The ordering procedure at CosMcs will include digital and drive-thru processes, allowing customers to use dynamic menu boards and cashless payment devices. Drive-thru pickup windows will be assigned to customers once their order is ready. By the end of 2024, McDonald's aims to open approximately ten pilot locations, including spots in the Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio, TX metro areas. CosMc's revival follows the success of Grimace's revival. McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski envisions Q1 as "out of this world" for this new venture.
